I have had this product for the last few years. The only way to turn the propane on or off is to go behind the grill. On a deck, after it's been cooking a while, that's a proposition you need to be careful with. More importantly, I just tried to use the rotisserie propane burner I originally bought with the grill. You have to disassemble and remove the control panel and the control valve. You have to take out all the grates and ceramic discs in order to get at the bolts that hold the control panel on. Then you have to install a new control valve and control panel (which doesn't work with the electric start) to use the rotisserie. Of course, if you're going to use the grill at any time after that, you have to disassemble the rotisserie set up and put it back to the way it was. It's about 20-30 minutes for each event. This is shining example of thoughtless and lazy engineering.
