I just purchased this grill to replace an old 3-burner 36,000 BTU Weber Genesis, and I'm quite mad at myself. I do love the stainless steel and build quality, but am very unhappy with it's cooking abilities. I thought I was getting a 20% upgrade in power by buying this 44,000 BTU model over the 36,000 BTU Weber, but in fact, my grilling power dropped by 19%, because the back burner isn't useable for cooking. so 15,000 BTUs goes out the window. I should have caught that, but didn't. The back burner can be used for rotisserie cooking or pre-heating, but not grilling. Others may use the rear and side-burners for cooking a lot - I don't. My recommendation is go for a grill with a lot of power in the main burners, and discount the non-grilling BTUs.
