This is the third outdoor cooker that I have bought. The first one was back when Metal Fusion first started out making these cookers. It was a well built burner. I had a friend that wanted one and gave it to him. A couple of years later (2) I purchased another one to replace the one I had given away. It was a good burner as well. I ended up letting my girlfriend in California have it to cook with. She loves the thing. I cook on it when I go out there.
I recently purchased this one on Amazon, and immediately noticed it was made of lighter material. The material used in the fabrication was not nearly as heavy as the previous two. Upon calling Metal Fusion, I was informed they are no longer manufactured in Louisiana. I was told that they are made in China now. You can definitely see, and feel the difference in the material and craftsmanship. I have been in fabrication most of my adult life and notice when something is as sturdy as is once was.
Having said all of that, it will bring a big pot of crawfish to boil pretty quickly, and do a good job of frying a turkey.
