I bought this item for our first Thanksgiving turkey fry and I'm very pleased with the results. The building instructions were fairly strait forward and took about 30 minutes in all. You can use the wrench they have included in the set, but to make thing easier and speed things along, just use a ratchet wrench. The guide has a lot of safety information and is very detailed. One safety feature of this model is the 10-minute timer, which will shut off the flow of propane after 10 minutes unless you are there to turn the knob at regular intervals. There is no paint that burns off from this model like in some other kits of lesser quality. My advice would be to buy the Eastman model as this is really an investment you'll be able to use for years to come. The injection needle is made of plastic, so you might consider buying another one of higher quality as we had some difficulty injecting our marinate solution into the turkey. All in all, be safe in taking the proper precautions, but this is definitely a model that is suitable for a first time turkey fry.
