The accompanying directions are vague and wrong. Nowhere is it mentioned that the power cord must sit in a holster to trigger the safety switch. If you want to use the grill as a tabletop-the power cord and holster are higher than the grill legs so you need to prop the grill up. The cord does not lock into the holster so you have to devise a way to keep them together. Altogether, very disappointing. I would not purchase anything from this company again

Grill Dome GE-4000 Grill Extender, Small Review

I purchased this extender for a small Big Green Egg. Cheaper than BGE accessories and seems to do just as good a job. My main use for this was to set a pizza stone on it to get the stone into the dome for grilling pizza. Not a perfect solution, but it was much cheaper than buying plate setter. It also makes a good platform for cooking vegetables while meat cooks on the main grill.

I will just go straight to the pros and cons.

Pros:
Large and easily fits an x large Grilldome
Fabric is of high quality with cloth lining

Cons:
Cover is so big that it rests on the ground
Cover doubles over near the ground and collects lots of rain water creating a very humid interior
Left over coals become very humid and difficult to relight
Grilldome is probably better off without a cover (at least this cover)

Areas of improvement:
Cover should be just the right size so that it rests just above ground and should fit more snugly around the Grilldome.

Overall I would not recommend this product and have stopped using mine.

I would say it is doing the job.. I had to cut my barbecue, because this one is having a central pipe, and mine was a bit on the left side. It is my fault, but i though can I could fit it easier. As far as a burner it is doing the job. Just make sure before you buy that they look the same.

I purchased 3 of these heat shields to replace the heat plates that had rusted completely through in my barbecue.

They are definitely flimsier and thinner than the Original heat plates that came with my barbecue. However, they are also about a third of the cost of the heat plates my barbecue's manufacturer wants for their OEM parts. The black enamel flaked right off as I tried to bend the plates to match the angle of my barbecue's original heat plates -- I do not expect these to last more than a year or so, but at the price, it's good enough.

This was a great basket. I really wanted one with real glasses, real plates and enough room for all of the food. This one fits the bill. The little cooler bag worked perfectly and the thermos was a nice touch. I couldn't fit the thermos in with all of the food, but if I needed to, I could have made sacrifices. everything is pretty secure for a basket. A bit on the pricey side, but it has everything I wanted and I'm happy with my purchase.
